    The Profession Scam

    The Profession Scam:

    Summary:
You are going to be offering to sell 1-375 of *any profession* for a certain amount of gold in a small amount of time. Will you actually? Of course not...

    Steps:

1: Make a new character, name it something like:
    Code:
    Skillhigh
    Skillhelper
    Bellbank
    Palbank
    ...and so on.

2: Create an authentic macro something like:
    Code:
Selling 1-375 *any profession* in under 40 minutes! I have all the mats and will stay with you as you level! All this for just 500g! PST for information.
3: Put your macro in trade chat until you get a worthy reply.

4: Invite that person to a group, and bring them somewhere realistic. Say if I was selling 1-375 engineering I'de take my victim to an anvil.

5: Simply steal the gold you are givin, logout, and delete the character.

    Tips:
    - Keep it real... don't charge 30,000g for 1-375 eng, and don't tell them it's going to take 10 minutes.
    - For step 5 say something like: "Oh shit, I left all my bars on my main. I'll brb k?"

    Conclusion:
Don't say "no won will teh f4ll for dis n00b shit" until you try it. You will certainly get a good amount of whispers to choose from and if someone whispers you they are obviously interested. You wont get people saying "Zomg n00b scammer" guaranteed or your time spent reading this back.

Thats going to get you banned maybe 25/75 chance not to be banned. This is just another form of the TCG scam. But still good thought cause this will probobly work!

This is not another version of the TCG scam because:
#1: TCG codes, and things you can actually use in game are completely different.
#2: JUST because the two scams have certain connections, doesn't really mean they are the same.

You wont get banned, if you read the tips; you delete the character. You could also put alt codes in your name if you will? There's MANY ways to save yourself.

This scam is way more complicated than it should be. Follow me...

ProfBank - "WTS FULL MAT SETS to level any prof from 1-375. 500g."

Tell them that for their protection, you will take half up front and the rest will be COD on an email with the mats. (Saying you'll stand there with them is a moot point, thus unnecessary.) There is no way that you could carry all of the mats on you, so...

With them watching, make a few trips from bank to mailbox for realism, say it has been sent, then collect the "half-down payment". Go back to the mailbox and act like you're mailing the mats, send the gold to an alt, then to an alt on your main account (Credit to Biospecies for Laundering Tips) Log, delete toon, then CREATE A NEW TOON WITH THE EXACT SAME NAME. Done.

It IS the TCG scam with invisible mats instead of fake codes.

Just because your scamming gold, doesn't meen it's the same. If there is SOME differences, if IS different. Don't go around enforcing with 8 rep. I like to post in depth for people that don't understand so well.

Dude, nothing is wrong with in depth, as long as the depth has purpose. The scam I posted was very detailed, but every detail mentioned was essential. You made this scam way more complicated (not detailed) than it should have been. I just made note of it and simplified.

And my rep has nothing to do with it if I'm write. And what am I enforcing? The right to not complicate? My rep is only 8 because I created this count awhile ago, was on for like one or two days and wasn't able to come back online until this week.

And no. Differences don't make something different, it makes it an altered or slightly varied version. I could go into examples, but this is like introducing my left hand to my right hand. Therefore I will agree to disagree, not flame, and even rep you for taking the time to type all of that.

Yeah agreed, for a higher success rate I was really nice and clever to my victim. I also used the 'half down' payment suggestion. He totally bought it, so I got my 200 gold and I just logged after that.

But what I did, was i bought 5 gold worth in mats for engineering *just enough to fill at trade window. So..60 copper bars, 60 coarse stones.

Then he gave me half of the 400 gold I asked for, and I gave him those mas, I said "I gtg get the rest of the mats, sec".

    Boom. 195 gold profit.

    Nice scam, again
