Guild and AH scam!

This is a good way to have someone buy an item AH and give it back to you, that's fairly hard to trace since the blame can get thrown on someone else.

So to do this you'll need a BoE item that sells well that there are 2 to none of on the AH. We're gonna use the Azure Whelpling for this example and assume there is only 1 on the AH and it's going for 500g.

1. On your main put the Whelpling up on the AH for 490g.

2. Look up a well progressed guild on your server and find a somewhat high ranking member and add them to your friend's list. We're gonna use the name Starwolf as our example.

3. Make an alt named "Starfox" and as soon as Starwolf goes off line whisper someone in the guild and say "Hey, this is Starwolf my main is bugging out and not letting me on. I was right about to buy an Azure Whelpling off the AH! Can you please buy it for me? I really want to get it before it gets bought. I'll pay you back as soon as I can get back on my main.

4. Most of the time they'll agree, they buy the auction then you can get them to give the whelpling to you. (Sometimes they'll want to mail it to your "main". If that happens try to think up a good excuse like 'the mail might not go through since he's bugging out' or something of the like.)

5. Grats! You got the AH gold from selling the item and got the item back.

Warning though, don't use the same character to put the whelpling back up on the AH if you're gonna do it again. When they find out they got scammed they'll probably be looking out for the same seller name again.

And of course, as with all scams, you have a chance to get banned. So using any trail covering techniques you have and multiple accounts will reduce the chances a lot.
