Account scam

Ok, this is my first contribution to MMOwned, and I'm hoping that this isn't a repost.

To start, you need a hotmail account, make a new one, it helps.
Don't want :banned:

Once you have registered, go to New Mail, in the From:[ ] click the drop down box, and add new address. Type in something that will fool the victim, like [email protected] and click send verification mail.

You will receive an e-mail from Postmaster, open it and scroll down, click the link. You can now send from this address*

Go to your profile and change your first name, and last name. for example John Doe to Trading Forums

Then go to New Mail again, click the From: drop down and select your new email.

Create the e-mail, for example,

Dear customer,
                   We have found a buyer for your account, please send the account details to (your alternate e-mail) and change the registered email address. Once this is complete, we will verify and send you the payment of ().

Thank you, 
              Your Account Traders

Send it to your new victim, and hope for the best!
I know that example isn't very good, but you're all very creative and I know you can do something better.

*If you do not get a Postmaster e-mail, click cancel and try again, with a different address.

They have informed their comunity about it, so it will not work.

Hehe, yes it has worked for me, and you don't have to do it with Markee, that was the example. I didn't use them, but you can do it from anything really.

this could work really well with some help. perhaps, make a .org site instead...then you can use the same email address, just @markeedragon.org

When people get informed it can still work, some people are dumb enough to get scammed.
As example World of Warcraft informs players about the fake emails etc etc.. But there are still people who get scammed.

Well, if we discuss some new methods in this thread, we can probably make it 80% foolproof.

I think it can work, most new people on Markee don't bother reading any of the stickies or news.
