Forgot to add, most obvious thing, Switch stores every 3 months, you'll never get caught
Want to know how?
Find 3 retail stores that sell WoW cards.
Buy it
Throw away the plastic covering and everything that came with it, accept for the box and the card, You want it to look like you weren't planning on taking it back.
Get a small bowl, fill it with warm water and let the card sit for 5 minutes
Now take a wet piece of thread, Just regular sewing thread, Double it over onto its self maybe once, if it doesn't work, go for twice, And slide the piece of thread under the scratch off thing.
It's just a sticker, with the metallic scratch off stuff on it, and the code is printed on the back of the card, underneath it
Write down the code, Get some super glue, and glue the sticker back on to the back of the card, somewhat how it was.
Bring the card back to the store you purchased it from, Tell them you bought it for a sibling, thinking it was the game.
Most employees at retail stores such as Target and Wal-Mart don't know much of anything about the game, So they'll be like, Sure thing. You get your refund.
Worse case scenario, You wont be able to return it, But I've been playing WoW retail for over 3 years, and As the topic stated, I can't recall the last time I actually paid for a game card.

NICE! Thanks for sharing this +rep
wait wait.. you put the card IN the bowl with warm water, or you dip the thread in a warm water filled bowl?
Yeah, I r sekcz.
You soak the card in warm water, so the glue under the sticker loosens so you can slide a wet thread underneath it to remove the sticker
Gonna test this the next time I buy gamecard, thanks. +rep
Glad to Share, Glad to help.
But what happends if someone buys the card that you have used already and reports to blizz that it does not work. Then blizz check in thier big logg of used gamecards and see "Aha, some guy named xeneth has already used this, how funny..".
Then they bann ya.
(but you are a lucky bastard.)
Just be carefull my friend, carefull..
Usually people don't report it, I said, super glue, because that way they can't get it off, They just turn it in for a new one, If the vendos see that it's been turned in more than once, they will disregard it. Blizzard turns out faulty cards all of the time, that get disregarded, it's kinda a shitty lottery deal
And this is full proof because the card has no actual value, Just the game time.
Again, I've been doing it for over 3 years.
Nice dude once I buy another GC i'll check it out :P
