    Problems with the E-Mail Scamming

    Problems with the E-Mail Scamming
    E-M@il Scam Problems

Here is a list of problems that I see with all of the e-mail scams:

1 - Double Post) Almost every scam including e-mail is a REPOST! The only thing these leachers change are minute details that normally go unnoticed. I realize they want rep, but if they really have something to contribute to the site, then they should just add a post onto the original post, that way the truly good post doesn't get bumped and you may even get some rep if what you post is useful.

2 - The E-Mail Addresses) No one will ever give their information to someone whose e-mail address is [email protected]... EVER! Blizzard DOES NOT use hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc. and they NEVER EVER WILL! STOP THINKING IT WORKS, IT DOES NOT!

3 - The message) This is where you can tell these people really rushed their post to whore themselves off for rep they will never get with their sub-par post. I sometimes see posts saying:
    Geetings,
It has come to our attention that you have been stealing gold from people, this is very bad. You can get arrested if we decide to press charges and force you to pay the market value of the gold which was stolen, which at the moment is $56.13 per 1000 gold. So far we know you have stolen 5,240 gold from players who worked hard for it. Please send us your account information so we can re-send the mail back to the hard working players, than you!

    Blizzard Entertainment
...this is retarded. Blizzard knows your account information and therefore would just mail it back IF thats what they did, but they don't. They rape your account of all its gold and stick you with an ugly 72. Don't be retarded, Blizzard will NEVER ask ANYONE for their info. Don't try and tell me "It will work on newbs lolz!!!" because it wont.
Other times I see this: http://i32.tinypic.com/29ega5z.jpg which Blizzard DOES NOT send anymore. They stopped doing that, now they send this: http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/9767/wowgmxh2.png which is accurate and is an actual e-mail I received from a GM.

4 - Presentation and Popper linking) This is even in a sticky. I don't want to look at a clashed together shit rainbow! Just plain, size two, gray text will do it for me. Also make your sentences comprehensible... I can't tell you how many times I have seen "lozl so liek i waz just chilln with my gf weh i thout of dis scam witch will like totaly get u sum accts or sumthin like dat". I don't care if you call it "Internet Speek" or "Ghetto Chat"... its what people with DOWNS SYNDROME type. No one can ****ing read that shit. Also, you may have noticed that this whole entire paragraph is a big ****ing wall of text, which no one likes to see. Its usually pointless crap that can be deleted and removed from the scam or tip because, generaly, its not really needed. If your post seems too shot, no one cares... so long as it doesn't look like this whole paragraph with NO spacing or anything, its okay. No one needs epicly gigantic guides... its fine. Yep, most of the time its just repeated general stuff thats repeated and general just so that the post can make his post look beter than it is. So don't do things like repeating, because its not needed.

Thats what you need to do if you wish to make your e-mail post a good one. If yours is a hunk of shit, go back and edit it... please! Or even delete it because its a friggen repost.

I agree with you on everything but one point: text mail versus image mail.

I've been phishing using only plain text and some hotlinks for a while, and I've also been phishing using a image background and text ontop on it (notice that it's not only an image, the image serves as background) and even though Blizzard only use text e-mails it's a lot more striking with images and it looks a lot better and for me it has worked much better.

Thanks everone! My first post without burns, YAY!

@Me0w - Well, I'm not saying their bad, I'm saying that you probably wont get as much people to hand their stuff over because most of 'em know that Blizzard doesn't do that anymore. I just don't want to see a post where the whole page is "Lolz, yep I just made this with my mad fotoshot skilz!, Gimme sum rep, peeps!" And then they stick their patchy shitty image with impropper spelling all over it.
