    The Art of Collection

    The Art of Collection
a lot of people been bugging me about how i get full account details and about different techniques i use to get accounts or well just information on people in general. so after a lot of thought and debate i decided to finally write it all down. this is the first part to my collective writings I dub "The Art of Collection: Data Mining in the Digital Age". Please feel free to d/l it and check it out. It is basically a proof of concept and generally will not work 100% of the time, but the ideas forged within should allow those wheels in your brain to start turning. This is a fully illustrated and interactive walk through of how some one might go about collecting information. Please enjoy and leave feedback with your thoughts and questions.

Can you add some methods of finding marks? For example, going to the WoW Guild forum and then going to guild sites to look for emails.

Kick ass guide DeMoN, extremely well written, and if i do ever manage to get some money, a definite donation will be made. The only CC I can think of is how you find a good mark, but someone already mentioned that, you really seemed to cover any other things I was wondering as I started reading. +4 well earned rep points

ok well i will defiantly go into more detail on that in a later publication...but for a quick reference this is more a what to do now that i have tons of log files but not much complete info if you are going to use this for the negative side of it (meaning not as a security vulnerability reference)...but i have been able with a margin of success been able to flat out pull this off...usually i am not looking to jack a wow account if i'm looking to hack an e-mail...of course having more info from the start always makes everything easier...remember i did this demonstration through myspace and yahoo because i was able to set them up in a short period of time...after a few weeks the myspace would of picked a hit up off of google once the spider crawled the page...so in the end google every piece of information you obtain as google is your #1 tool here...plus there is more social sites out there then just facebook and myspace...again the guide is basically a proof of concept...maybe a poor one had i of had more time and more patience i could of listed everything let it get crawled by google and you could of seen how the real magic worked...but enh i think i got the point across fairly well...

    -DeMoN

p.s. still searching for direction on my next chapter...how to effectivly social engineer? setting up sites to data mine info? i dunno what you guys thinking? i need feedback more feedback or else i might skip to far ahead and lose most readers in the process....mayeb i should go into securing yourself using proxies and how to find them and/or make them...i suppose my last chapter will be attacking databases and finding hidden information in the backweb....and a lil snibit:

"The backweb makes up 70% of the internet or more. It is the internet you can not see or reach through any standered means such as a web browser. With in lays the gold and diamond mines of information."

oh well hope i peeked your curiousity...
