Bringing Back The Righteous Orb Scam! 50-500g Per Hour!

I do know that this is a repost (from my friend in real life) but all im trying to do is revive its once true glory.

Have you ever noticed how righteous orbs and small lustrous pearls have the exact same icon? Well i have, and i use this to my advantage every day.

All you need to do is buy some small lustrous pearls, then type in /trade: WTS Righteous orbs! Buy them cheap for only 50g! (they go for 60g on my server).

Once you get someone who wants to buy it, simply tell them that you will need to C.O.D it because you are about to log off because your going out to dinner. Now this is where you need to be flawless.

When you get to the mail box, put the small lustrous pearl in the box. after you do that, delete the subject where is says small lustrous pearls (1).( lets just say hes only buying one) Then put in Righteous Orb (1)

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT WRAP THE GIFT UP THIS IS HOW YOU GET BANNED. you need to let him see the icon when he recieves the mail.

put it on C.O.D and send it. The best part about this scam is if the person finds out that you sent them pearls, just whisper them saying that you accidentally mailed him the wrong item ( hopefully he wont noticed that you whould hv ehad to change the name of subject) but you are sold out of the orbs.

Also, if the person falls for it, and they mail you or whisper you, simply tell them that you accidentally gave him the wrong item, but you are sold out, and already spent the gold on your twink. Tell him that if he waits another couple of hours, then he will farm him the orbs or make the money. By doing this, he will not write a GM ticket and this will give you time to send the gold to you main, and scam a few more people.

This scam is like 99.9% unbannable because its the person's fault for not noticing that they didnt notice that they were righteous orbs.

I have been doing this for a couple years and i havent once recieved a warning or a suspension.please do not tell me that you will 100% get suspended if you havent even tried it yet. this scam works about 60% of the time and can make you between 50-500g within a hour of playing.

And trust me, i wouldnt have posted this scam if i knew i had a high chance of being banned.

most likely, colincancer, you made it too obvious that it was a scam by either posting it too many times, or selling for way much less than AH Price ( if you sell for too much less, people might become aware that you are scamming)
Also, do this on a character that has bank at the end of the name char Ex: Vanishbank.

If someone starts to say that you are scamming in trade chat, dont be afraid to argue with him and tell him (in a /whisper) that you accidentally sent the wrong item and you will refund him if he bought it.

HOWEVER it WILL get you banned. I have used scams like this and it has always resulted in a ban. First time i recieved all three or so of my temp bans at the same time. I would suggest only trying this scam if your acc has never been banned before.

I've done similar scams(i prefer selling Marks of Sarg or Sunfury Signets via c.o.d. and changing the subject to say (255) instead of (1) =P)

what ive been told is after you funnel everything to your main(i send my stuff to a lvl1 decoy char first) you delete the scam toon, then make another toon with the exact same name...someone said its supposed to erase all previous mail/chat logs for that character(i delete the scam toon and my decoy). also using subtle ASCII characters (ì,í,ë,è, etc) makes it harder for them to report you.

Im guessing that you didnt follow the steps correctly when you did it, because if you did, then you wouldnt have.

this scam requires little skill, all you need to do is just be very careful about the mail.
