Switch Scam!

Hey MMowned. Just came up with a new scam and i wanted to share it with you all! (Not sure if this is a repost but sorry if it is =( ... )

Steps:

1. Get 2 different items that look similar but are VERY differently priced (I.E Sash of Mercy and a Grizzly Belt)

2. Say in trade "Selling 'insertitemhere' Cheap!!! PsT!"

3. Sometimes you'll get an offer, sometimes people will ask how much. If they ask how much say something cheap yet realistic. I said 50g for the sash.

4. If they offer, ask for somewhere around 5-10 more gold for the item, haggle until you get the deal. (Sounds like your not scamming)

5. When the deal is set, meet them somewhere and LET THEM OPEN TRADE

6. Instantly put up your item x (Sash of Mercy) Then wait for them to put up the gold. After they put up the gold wait for 2-5 seconds.

7. SWITCH the x item with the y item (Sash of Mercy for Grizzly Belt) in the trade screen.

8. Click accept as fast as possible and hope they accept!

9. Log out, wait a few mins, log in, send $ to main, delete the char, enjoy!

T_T are you serious?

Not only does this scam predate the dinosaurs (and some of my teachers) it has been reposted atleast 8 times. I seriously doubt that anyone would be as stupid as to not look at the name of the item or the stats before they make a 50g purchase off a level 1 bank toon. Also, logging off doesn't render you un-bannable dumbass. It simply means they can't see you anymore. They can still open up a ticket and report you for scamming and you get stuck with a big 72.

how is it that this guy got +4 rep for this post? Its dumb... look in the sticky threads for the topic "Scam posts I DONT want to see" and you will see very clearly that this "scam" works on human error.

Apparently you didn't understand what i was trying to say... You wait a couple seconds and then SWITCH THE ITEMS in a split second. Most of the time after a few secs the people are heading for the "accept" button... if they're not paying attention to the name of the item then you win

and logging off is always better than saying "LAWL NUB U SCAMMED LAWL" also there's the chance they'll forget your name.

of course you can get in trouble for this but, dumbass, you can get in trouble for EVERY IN-GAME SCAM so you might as well go to every damn post and spam "THIS IS BANNABLE"... who's the dumbass now?
