Another Chinese Renter Scam

Well here my version of the renting scam:
1) go on a website like vovgame.com

2)use the live help button to chat

3)tell the operator you have a level 70 account which is frozen(even if you dont have a level 70 this will,just if you need playing time.The account must be frozen!

4)the operator will ask you for your info charname/server/acc name/pw

5)he will also tell you that they will put time on your account to rent it

6)Now: when the time has been added(usually instantly or u have to wait a couple of hours,just keep checking)switch the password and there:You have free playing time.Gratz!

PLEASE read chat log below as an example,also go all the way dont for pic of proof (dont ask why he gave me a 6month subscription

twice on both of my accounts....if u do it multiple times try to sound differently and use a different char name....

This works but I will not recommend it. My friend has done this before; the company just canceled the charge. When the charge gets canceled, Blizzard makes you send a money order to them and they will suspend the account until it is reactivated. Money orders take ~2 weeks to complete, I would say this is not worth it.

The company doesn't have to tell Blizzard anything. They pay with their credit card and then when you scam them, they go to their bank (read: Not Blizzard) and have them cancel the charge.

well they didnt leave a message on the fake email or aim i gave them yet.....so we will see....its been like 6 days since i did this

Keep in mind this is just a specific lender site I'm talking about. I don't know which one it is, but if the Chinese company cancels their charge then you go ~2 weeks without an account, just a warning.

Well, since Im in a thinking mode. With my bank, you can only cancel a charge a certain number of days after it has been placed. So perhaps wait a couple days then change pass? Maybe thats just my bank though.

Nah what they are doing is not illegal. Just against blizzard's TOS so at worst it's a civil matter.
