Most people know people online who would say.. trust you to log on their account, right? Well, recently, I trusted someone with this and he scammed all my money - But stupidly he didn't change his own password, so I recorded all of his info I had access to (Acc. name, registered name, address, phone, dob, etc) and thought of this..
A while ago I tried changing my recov answer and they asked for ID.. easy enough? Scanned in my birth certificate and it was done. Since I see myself as pretty handy in photoshop, I got the idea to change my own birth certificate to match the details (Most of it fake details, but they didn't know that) of this.. 'friend'. I sent an email to blizzard with all of the info I had saying I went on holiday for 2 months and I came back and someone has changed my pass/email/and I forgot my recov answer. I attached the fake ID and waited. About 4-5 days later, I got a response from blizzard with, just my luck.. they approved my change of details now I am the new happy owner of my 'friends' account. It's been a few weeks now and he's had no luck recovering it, I still speak to him through his other account since for 1, I never mentioned that I knew he stole my gold, and 2 he doesn't know I took his account. He says blizzard declined all of his requests for recovering it so far.
Just a though, it takes time, but.. works. Worked for me at least.
