I don't know where you heard that its totally safe, if someone reports you, and you've just been doing it to everyone you see, it is a suspendable offense. If you spam it in yells,says,general, or trade, its a bannable offense.

what you could try is an addon scam to this.

tell people that you are a scout for the top guild on your server and you have to try and find out who are nice players because your guild always only wants to recruit good upstanding members of the communtiy. The ones that help you out with a measly 1g go on the list to be approached by the guild at a later date

Before long the bull**** will get round esp if you ask the player not to tell anyone and keep what you have said secret.

I haven;t tried this but logically you can expect a certain percentage of players that are desperate to get into the top guilds to start slipping you some wonga - after all what is 1-10g for a spot in a toop guild ?

This is the most obvious and easy way to get Gold ever, in fact its not even a scam. Some of you are going to say *doh this is so obvious* or *doh this is so stupid,* but let the results speak for themselves.Yesterday I made 127 gold doing the easiest thing ever. ASKING FOR IT!I made a level one character (made it a cute little gnome female with pink hair) and gave it a cute little name.Then I went around walking up to people, opening a trade screen and whispering them *can you spare 1g?* 1/3 of the times they will give you money. Sure you get some people who just end up saying ***** off*, but at the same time I got one person who gave me 5g and a BoE blue item that sells for 15g!Its the most obvious thing ever, and since its donations you cant get banned for it. But it really works.Give it a try

As a fun little trivia: this is commonly done by people on subways and such in most big cities around the world...
not by hoboes but by common people dressed as hoboes..

I used to do it before I got my, now, much sexier actual work.
