[Warning] New attempt at Account scamming via Emails.

Just a Warning to MMOwneds Members.

A new attempt of scamming has been going around recently claiming to protect your account by merging it to your mobile.

Same, they get it from hacking teh Blizzard DB.

Funny stuff, got it 8 times, got the old scam mail 30 times now. Never had it before ,never used my real email somewhere, so strange stuff

They don't hack any Blizzard DB, they just go to a site with lots of registered WoW users and use an e-mail spider to get all of the e-mails. Then they use a mass mailer to send this e-mail to everyone.

Why is that i NEVER receive any scam mail on neither of my emails , but i guess my life wouldnt be better if i did. Thanks for the Warn anyway!

Actually someone tried to pull a similar thing to me but said I have accounts that were banned and I have to reactivate it an merge it with my
main account.

I dont get these emails, perhaps there is another site that a lot of mmowned users go to that isnt secure enough. the people who get them a lot should contact each other ia pm about the sites they go to to see if they have any common ground. i hate email scammers + phishing

Because I really don't think we need a thread for a silly phishing scam that's pretty obvious
