I have recently been temp. banned (don't know if it will be worse yet) for simple being invited to a guild and taking couple bags of stuff out. Before I tell you why this is so important I would like to show you the second e-mail I got.

We recently received a report from another player that they had been scammed. During the course of our investigation, we discovered that one of your characters had received item(s) or money that had been obtained in the scam. Unfortunately, the item(s) and/or money have been removed to reimburse the owner.

Our current policies regarding scammed items or money apply to players who knowingly or unknowingly receive money or items from a scammed player. If the character was found to have assisted with perpetuating the scam, they may receive an account penalty up to and including account closure. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have been caused.

First off ill tell you how I got into the guild. I simply said on the trade channel, "Looking for leveling guild". Someone responded to me and the invited me into the guild. Nothing fishy at all, but the first e-mail I got says that I impersonated someone in their guild, which is clearly untrue and puzzles me that they could easy figure that out by looking at my chat logs.

Now ill tell you about how I withdrew the items. After about 30 minutes, I starting withdrawing my 3 stacks of items per GB tab. (Yes thats how many you get to take out at the LOWEST rank without doing ANYTHING) I did not withdraw ANY gold what so ever, and even if I wanted to at the rank I was at that wouldn't even be possible. Once again my the e-mail I got says that I withdrew over 148g which is funny in another way as well since thats more gold then I have ever had on that character in the entire time it has been created.

So about 10 mins. after withdrawing the items I get a gkick. So I ask the guy why he kicked me and he says something like "You don't need all those items on a level 5 character. So I tell him your right but I just took the daily withdraws from the guild bank that you allowed me to. So we talk on for awhile blah blah and he says "Give me that blue item you took out of the guild bank or ill give you bad rep on trade channel. I tell him go ahead thinking I really don't care about this character much anyway and that I didn't do anything wrong anyway so why do I why do I care. So he rants and trade and people call me names and what not.

Finally probably 30 mins. later he starts harassing me on and on about how I am such a bad person. (should of just reported him there)


Anyway I log off and two days later I get DCed and figure the whole thing out. The reason I am so mad about it is because I did it on my main account thinking nothing of it. This was really just made to inform you guys about how you shouldn't get into this stuff and how GMs can make huge mistakes even tho the have the entire truthful story in the logs right in front of their eyes.

Easiest thing is to scam an account, do the guild bank scam on that account send anything of value to your main account, send all the crappy stuff to random people talking in trade... that way they can't ban your main account.... I just did this a week ago no ban yet on my account, i am not sure about the scammed account, i gave it back to the guy to change the last Ip on the account.
