Once you get all of the account info just merge it with a Battle.net account in YOUR name with YOUR info, and he will no longer know any of the information on the account. If possible throw an authenticator (They make a nice free one for the Ipod touch/iphone) and that will make it almost impossible for the account to be recalled.
And every once and awhile change the email on the Battle.net account so they don't find out or anything.
If you can pay or have someone report their MAIN characters name, so it gets changed, is also another nice way to avoid them getting it back.

But if they are original owner, the can with ease take their account back, just call blizzard support.. thats the problem.
