Blizzcon scam

Instead of scamming on ebay you can go ingame and use trade chat saying "Selling blizzcon 09 loot card baby murloc marine etc. For 5000gold!"
Amount of gold doesent need to be that less or much, depending on you

Just thought of this.
You can scam someone on ebay, selling blizzcon 2009 loot codes etc. (murloc marine), you have 2+ months to spend the money if you do it now --- but that prob goes under defrauding and is illegal.

I think that you're thinking along the right lines, but it's still too early in the Blizzcon 2009 chain of events to even make the scam viable.

People are going to eventually become stupid and fall for this too, but I still feel its too early.

Of course, everything is still worth a try. If anyone has any success let us know.

Seems a little too early.. not enough people know about these things until it's been advertised for a couple months. Although, there are a lot of gullible people that could believe this stuff if we had a source to a website that confirms the 'item' that is being scammed.

The succes chance is still low, but it will increase when blizzcon is nearing , i think its a quite good idea for later on use

i think i understand what he is saying

-trick people into thinking your going to blizzcon

-have them give you money and tell them they will be one of the first to get it basicly give them the old im using the money to pay for the tickets type deal or make up another excuse if your doing it for gold

-when blizzcon comes around /ignore

Err what? I've sent heaps of GM's screenshots of things..

I once talked to a GM for 3 hours, and he even appeared to me and turned me into things. I was sitting there bragging about it to my guild LOL.. All because I showed him a funny a GM conversation screenshot I had.. haha :>

Anyway, back on topic. The scam might work.. But its a bit early for this, thats pretty much what everyone else said.. @xdarkghostx: I don't think that would work, I really doubt anyone is stupid enough to fall for that.
