Scamming People in Guilds

I dont get this part,

"Than add some funny texts like "I sent you this fish and some gold to help you level your alt, go buy some good gear. We need a [victim's class] for [some raid]."

If youre sending them a fish for C.O.D. amount of like 500g, then why are you saying "I sent you this fish and gold...", when you didn't send them gold.. theyre sending you the gold if they accept the C.O.D ?

It's meant to look like you sent them gold, and when they press do you really want to use this gold or w/e, the gold is sent to you.

having an alt-code may or may not make you unsearchable. unless you work for Blizzard you can't say that. But the GM can easily just look at where the mail came from and what account that character is on

I usually go with the whole "buddy buddy" act on this scam, just kind of act all, "Hey guildie, I've came to the conclusion to give you XXX amount of gold to help you with your alt toon, you've come a long way in the guild and we've ran so many instances/raids together it just make sense I give it to you, so please accept my gift, and spend it wisely with your alt; get him some gear and level him up, we could always use another one of you around!
