    Possible 20k Scam - BlizzCon

    Possible 20k Scam - BlizzCon
Ok so some of you might have seen my post in the Help section. Now is the time to put it into action and share it with you guys.

Warning: This is still untested. It is a theory working on the old Spectral Tiger scam.

Now, here are a few things you will need to start with:
Information: On what you are selling and on BlizzCon 08
A scamming account that is not linked to your main.
Preferably a 3rd account to send mail through.

I'll go through it step by step now.

    1. Go onto your scamming account and log onto a character(preferably not level 1-10, best to be about 40+. Makes it seem more genuine).

    2. Create a macro on that character saying this:
/2 Selling Big Blizzard Bear from BlizzCon 08. Serious offers only please. /w me

    3. You will probably get a few whispers saying things like 'omg scammer!1!!' but hopefully a few will be interested. Now here is where your knoweledge of BlizzCon comes in. You should make out to them that you are a normal WoW player who was attending BlizzCon last year. Try to find out as much info about it as you can before you start the scam.

The key thing here is that the redeem the code. The part before the 25 digit code requires you to enter a 12 digit code here.

    4. After this it goes pretty much the same as the old tiger scam. Give him the fake code and send the money to your 'middle man' account. Also remember to delete the char you scammed on (although it doesnt matter if its on a scammed acc) and remake it, same class, name and race.

    5. Now from your middle man account send the gold onto you alt/main but make the mail seem like it's from a friend as birthday present etc. All these little things will mean you will be less likely to be banned/suspended.

I hope this works for you guys, if it does it mean serious money. But remember it is untested so any bans/suspension are not my fault Please comment with feedback and if anyone gets it to work please let me know.

The more accounts you send it through the less likely you are to get banned i think, but the chance isnt that big.

what you do is send it through AH a couple of times, then you delete original char you scammed it on, make the same name char just oppisite faction, and never send it through mail.....ive had bad experiences through mail send...

I have said this 100 times, but...

Deleting and remaking characters does NOT fool Blizzard logs. Characters are saved by a unique ID, not by name.

Damn, I'm surprised this can actually still fool someone O.o

This is basicly just Social Engineering to make you seem more genuine... Doesn't matter though, cos it's still a good contribute
