    [Advanced] The WoWtrade.DK MM-scam

    [Advanced] The WoWtrade.DK MM-scam
    Hello,

After reading a lot of scams around here, I decided it's time for me to publish my method, I've stopped using it since I have done everything I wanted, and I have a truely perfect character now (scammed).

Before we start, this scam is rather risky if you don't know what you're doing. Therefore I recommend to have experience and a solid brain before attempting this, else it'll be an endless series of unsuccesfull attempts.

Basicly, the scam is about immitating a middle-man, and getting the buyer to give you ALL the info regarding the account, you will need MSN Discovery to do this (MessengerDiscovery Live THE Windows Live Messenger Addon)

    Info about MSN Discovery:

It's a very usefull tool, when you have two people in a group coversation type: !imitate
example: !imitate yo guys this is a scam
Now DON'T HIT ENTER, click on Send. A menu will pop-up asking you which e-mail address you want to immitate, make sure you select the correct (the MM's) one.

    What it requires:

*Good/flawless knowledge of the English language
*Social skills (being able to pursuade a person)
    *Stress-resistant
    *MSN Discovery Add-On

    Still interested? Read on.
I'll briefly summarise what happens, first of all you make an account on WoWtrade.dk Forums
*Make it something legit, E.G. "Valley, Wagstorm, Stan, Puress", whatever. Try to make it look professional (don't pose as a company tho).

    2. Get to know the site, look at the MM-topics and see what it's all about.

    3. Here's where it starts:
*Find a sale in the Sales forum that interests you, read it trough, read it trough again, if it suits you, look at the contact method he's posted, if he posted an MSN address, add him to your MSN, if he says to PM him, do so (with a bid/offer/...)

    4. Add all of the "Official" MM's to your list, you can find these in the MM-forum.

    5. If you see one of the MM's is online BUT NOT RESPONDING - and your seller is online, it's time to move in!

--- You will need MSN Discovery (MessengerDiscovery Live THE Windows Live Messenger Addon from here on, DOWNLOAD FIRST) ----

    6. Talk to the guy who's selling the account, and propose to start the deal, strongly suggest using the MM which is AFK, if he says yes, the scam is halfway there! Now, tell him to gather all of the details regarding the account (INCLUDING AN ID-SCAN into a word/e-mail/wordpad file before you start "because the MM doesn't have a lot of time", the MM could come back any moment so it's important to do everything as fast as possible, BE PREPARED

    7. Invite both to a group conversation, the MM (who is afk) will be invited, and the buyer will be aswell.

    8. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO MAKE ANY MISTAKES - this IS A CRUCIAL PART
-Start the conversation as usual, just greet eachother etc. then you start imitating the MM, tell the buyer to send all of the details to an e-mail address WHICH YOU CREATED (E.G. create an e-mail [email protected]) and tell him that he always does it this way, and it gives him a good overview of the MM-jobs he's doing right now.

    9. Cash in, the seller will send all of the data to the e-mail you supplied, and there you go, an account with all info, just for you.

Basicly what you do is: immitate an MM who's AFK at that time in a group conversation to get all of the details, it takes a good amount of timing and luck, I recommend doing this at an hour where an MM is either eating or sleeping, keep a close eye on them and try to pick a good time, don't rush it.

    Note:
If you don't have a lot of experience, if you think it's too complicated, don't attempt this. It's a seriously advanced scam which takes time and practice, BUT, once you master it, it's by far the best way to scam an account.
I decided on publishing this because I'm done with it, I have a full T7.5 rogue with asher of al'ar and double warglaives which I scammed, and I have over 50k gold.

    Questions?
    Mail me: [email protected]
    or post here.

    Good luck!

    This seems like a pretty good idea. I'll give you rep for it, but I was wondering;

Could you post a quote of a successful scam with this? I.e. a conversation log?

I'm just curious on how others would step into this.

I haven't tried it, nor have i used msn discover or what it was called, but this scam is pure epic. I would, it's playing with people's trust at best. And the best part is that they will think that it was the MM who scammed them not you. So you get a moment of silence to account transfer and what not

tried this months ago and it sucks so bad, they never fall for it. most of them will add the real mm to their friend list and then see that your speaking to the wrong one.
i even used [email protected] (CORN not COM) and still it failed badly

colm - you're not suposed to fake the e-mail, you're immitating an online person (their original e-mail, l2read)
