The 5g Scam



Alright. I was just playing 'WoW' and I was bored so I ran this random lowbie through Ragefire Chasm. So we ran it a few time and I went at it. I said "Hey, I'll tell you what, I'll level your character for 5g, for a little bit because im bored. Hell! I'll let you play on my account til' im finished so your not bored!......


Ok what you need is:

1. Common Sense
2. Respect for lowbies
3. Politeness
4. Ok scamming skills



1. Run the lowbie through any instance a couple times. Then tell him you can level his character for 5g.

2. Tell him he can play on YOUR account.

3. He will give you account info, and you give yours his.

4. Play for like 20 minutes. PM your actual character and say, "Hey dude! omg, im so freaking scared right now. a gm just whispered me and said he saw a sudden change in IP address's. he says he needs: First, Last names. Secret Question answer. and Email address. dude please tell me im so scared he might ban yours or my account!"

5. If he really is a newbie, he will give the info.

6. Change YOUR password, log on. Change the other guys info. WALA! You have an account you can use for scamming, fun, or to give as a christmas present.

Definitely do-able, but in-game scams can tread down dangerous paths.

using your acctuall legit account for this is not very bright-- you will most likely get reported and lose everything.. however doing it on a scammed account and getting lucky enough to get something worth selling, I guess that has potential...

That actually happened to my friend. A different friend scammed an account with a 70 mage and paladin on it, and gave it to the first one. Of course, it was later taken back, and he had to go back to leveling his rogue.

better idea is to just keep the info and then recall his account after about a month and he wont remember ur chars name or u could change it
