Simple Scam to Get WotLK 100% Free on Your Account

Hello,

This scam is intended to get you a copy of Wrath of the Lich King absolutely free. You will need to have an account (for best result. one with a level 70), and be the original owner, or atleast have all the information (secret question answer and last name).

Step 1:
-Go to any trading website and post your account for trade, or look for someone who would want your account.

Step 2:
-Contact them, and make sure they're an avid World of Warcraft player, and someone who will most likely be getting the new expansion on the first day.

Step 3:
-Assuming all goes well, trade them. Make sure you don't give them to much legitimate information, like the valid last name on the account. After you've traded, play around on the account, scam some gold, sell it or do whatever.

Step 4:
-On Monday, log on to your main characters realm (the account you originally traded) and /who your character. Make sure he is in Northerend or level 71. This obviously means the expansion has been enabled on the account. If the person is not on,or not level 71 or in Northerend, check back every couple of hours/days until they are. If they transferred the character to a different realm or changed the name, contact them on AIM with something like "Hey, you enjoying Wrath?"

Step 5:
-Once you have verified they are playing on the expansion-enabled account, call Blizzard and recall it. Block the person from AIM and enjoy your expansion pack.

Poor grammar aside, this is false. With an increase in phishers and keyloggers, Blizzard will not automatically ban your account. The representative at Blizzard will ask about your virus protection software, so you can just state you have none.

And what you might perceive as 'common sense' and 'dumb' might not be as apparent to some as to others.

Of course, they wont INSTANTLY ban your account, but if you might have warnings on the account from before, this might not be the best idea.

I've gotten banned for doing this, though it was with TBC.
So from personal records, I don't recommend this.

This is also false. Blizzard WILL ban the account if it gets recalled multiple times, OR, if 2 people sends an ID to retrieve it. EU side.

Oh and also, I've recalled hundreds of accounts, not one was banned for that reason.

Plus the fact that if you don't have $40 then you should get a job. Just buy it. I can find a kid who can make $40 dollars in the time it takes for them to get Wrath and start playing it then you recover the account. If I could remove rep, I would.
