    The Web Designer Scam (WDS)

    The Web Designer Scam (WDS)

    The Web Designer Scam (WDS)

To all people who are going to rag on my join date, I can and will charge my
    lazerz.

I came up with this scam after I helped make a guild website for my old guild and I shared this with a couple of friends, and it was pretty much a success, but was time consuming. This scam can go 3 different ways (well three ways I've come up with) but anyway,

For this scam, we are going to log onto WoW with a scammed account (Or a trial account, they can't speak in trade (/2) though) and advertise our epic website making skills. It can take a while to get a response but you will get one eventually.

Once you have someone, (if its a guild member that's not in a high ranking position, ask for the guild leaders name or an officer) begin negotiations on a price, what do they want. Once this is all finalized, tell them that you would like half of the money. Now, to make sure you don't get scammed () Most people will ask for examples of sites you've done, in case of this, have a couple of guild sites on hand to show off.

Now this is where the scam can split into 3 parts.

    1. You take the half of the money, get it in your Canadian PayPal, and spend it on whatever you want, fast.

    2. If you have the skills to make the site, Make it! Get the full amount. Once the site is setup, you will have admin access. Make a backup of the Database for the forum and get your list of email addresses. You can't exactly steal the passwords because PhPBB encrypts them with MD5. You could decrypt them using Cain & Abel (a cracking program for windows that needs a word list or rainbow tables) Or, you can use a little trick Google has. You can actually Google the MD5 hash, and if the password isn't complicated, Google will actually tell you the password. Or you can put in the hashes in this site GData: An Online MD5 Hash Database

    3. You can make the site and not scam anyone. (Not...)

    Helpful Hints!
    • Be knowledgeable about what your talking about when negotiating. If they ask you how your going to setup the site, say your using Joomla for the front page and PHPBB for the forum.
    • You can also use this scam to get gold. Just ask them to pay you in it.
    • You don't necessarily need to go in WoW to find someone. Google web designer for hire and you can scam those people too!

Thanks to:[Royal] for cleaning up the post.

Pretty common sense, but I never actually thought of it.

I actually do have design skills, I think I may do this.

Blizz can't ban you for it though?

EDIT Oh, you said use a scammed account.

Should I change it to solid black?

And I don't know if you can get banned for it. Ask Verye.

Hm, the text is a little "Rainbow".

But it helps separate the points, I'd recommend adding bullets, italics, and bolds, instead of colors.
