Server Queue Scam

Okay, been leeching for awhile, thought i'd contribute with a scam I usually do to net me some starting gold when I re-roll on a new server. If it's a repost then delete thread

What you need:
A spamming/scammed account to advertise on.
A server that is locked, works better if it has a long queue to get in.
Someone stupid :P


Step 1: Hop on your spamming/scammed account and make a level one on a new server, and advertise something like: WTT 70 with for 70 .

Step 2: Wait around until someone sends you a tell (make sure you've armoried a random with better gear than the victim on the locked server). Talk to them about their account and seem legit, usually be friendly and talk about RL to get their guard down. Then tell them to hop on msn/aim to talk further about the trade.

Step 3: Talk to them on msn/aim, get more info about their account, like how much gold is on the account, if they only have a small amount of gold, say that you have a better offer and block em. Once you find someone with a decent amount of gold, start asking if they want to continue with the trade. Usually when they say yes (and they aren't stupid) they'll ask to see your toon in-game, tell them that there is a really long queue on the server and it'll take ages for both of you to get in.

Step 4: After you explain to them about the server being locked, ask if they would rather check out your account instead. 75% of the time they forget about (or not care about) the queue. Also ask to check out their account. Swap User/Pass.

Step 5: Mention on aim/msn not to change passes yet. They'll agree to it, as they really want your "geared toon". Tell them to keep you updated on their position of the queue.

Step 6: Once you're in their account, you're free to do what you want. Send all their gold to your alt, ninja their gbank (if they can withdraw), look on their friend's list to see who's online and try "borrowing" gold off everyone, tell the guild that you're actually a paedophile or whatever you think is good.

Step 7: If the victim is still keeping you updated on position of the queue, and they're getting too close to getting into your account, alt-tab and log in to your account and dc them. It's gonna look fishy so before you dc them say something like "wtf lol everyone in org/sw just got dc'd, from the mass qq of bank alts in tb/darn, might have to watch out, my toon is in org/sw".

Step 8: Once you're done, go on Account Management and change your pass and log in, to dc them again Gratz on your gold or new account. On several occasions, the person has forgotten their sq/a, so I was free to do some other scams with the 70s, before they were recalled.
