    Accept Trade Scam

    Accept Trade Scam
    Hey, I've been a member of mmowned.com for nearly a month now, and I have been really impressed with the community and some of contributions people have made. I would now like to get out of leecher status, and start progressing through the forums.
    This scam I have devised myself recently, but it maybe could do with a little work, so anyone who has any ideas, just post them and maybe I'll add them to them scam :>

    Anyway...

    Massey's Accept Trade Scam!

    What you will need;
    • A high level, or this could work on a level 1

    • A incompetant victim who will buy every word you say

    • The all important macro!

    • Social skills which you can use to convince people

    The macro used for this scam stems off from;
    /script AcceptGroup();
    /script AcceptQuest();
    /script AcceptTrade();
    /script RetrieveCorpse();
    /script RepopMe();

    Which is used for multiboxing which accepts a shared quest, trade etc, so there is no need to take a quest more than once, which can save time and boredem.

    If you take the line
    /script AcceptTrade();
    this will accept the trade window on the character it is pressed on. So this led me to think, could people be stupid enough to press that and trade their items/gold to me?

    Getting your Victim to fall for it
    Now, I can basically guarantee that 99% of the community in WoW are not going to just make a macro before a trade and press it after they put their goods/cash up.
    So, approach someone who is selling/buying something you would want. A good example would be to say that you are enchanting an enchant which is wanted (mongoose etc) and you can clearly see they are a bit of an idiot, lieK peRHAPs dey talK liek Dis, or whatever.
    Now the hard part, convincing them to create the macro.
    There are many methods you could use, a few I use are;

    "Hey, I've just downloaded an enchanting addon, and it lets me enchant things in the trade window without you giving me the materials first and for it to work you just need to create a quick macro."

    "Yo! I need you to make a quick macro before this trade, as it saves the trade to my trade log so I can look back and see what I have bought/sold."

    Anything like that, use your imagination, so long as someone could fall for it.

    Now the macro in its form right now is a bit obvious perhaps?

    Disguising the Macro
    This is an easy part, just make it seem as it does something wierd in the game. Or for laughs, add a bit which says when they press the macro "Wow, I'm an idiot" if you're like that

    A typical disguise I would use would be;
    .connect enchanting.(yournamehere).eu-worldofwarcraft
    (yourrealmname):enchantingid=mongoose:81762
    /script AcceptTrade();
    currencycheck=0.00.00:GSC

    Okay, I just added a lot of bull***t right there, stuff to with logging on, enchanting ID's, again use your imagination. The more complicated, the more convincing.

    Yes, it still is quite obvious, but on the over populated servers you'll be surprised at the amount of idiots who have reached level 70 and fall for anything.

    Now locate the player, wait until they have put up the items/cash and tell you have pressed your macro and they need to aswell. You could either put up nothing, or just put up some items, or just do the legit trade but get it cheaper than usual. Use it in whatever way you want.
    As soon as their window goes green hammer the accept button, logout = FREE EPIX KAY?!?

    Please don't overuse this loads, cos if the accept trade script gets removed, I'll have a load of angry multiboxers to deal with xD
    Enjoy your free stuffs off morons

    Good thinking and attempt to contribute to the community. Could work with just a couple tweeks and tests.
