Download other peoples saved passwords.

Hey,this one is pretty old,but i havent seen THIS version of it on the forums.

As you know it's able to see YOUR own passwords by checking into the "Tools" tab in Firefox,but it's also possible to see other ones.

Start your DC++ or any other p2p downloader program or w/e

Search for signons.txt/signons2.txt and KEY3.DB (Both files gotta be from the same person,that's why DC++ is prefered)

Then put em in the "Firefox\Profiles\Profile Folder" Save your own ones if you wanna keep having them,or just overwrite em.

Start Firefox and go into Tools -->Settings --> Security --> Saved Password's

The larger the file's your downloading are , the more password's they contain,so dont download if they are like 0kb,as the person havent saved any password's then.

I've gotten PayPal accounts,WoW accounts by using this.

EDIT: If i remember right,one of the files named signon ,well it's signon.txt for the older firefox version and signon2.txt for the newer,there's no different exept the name.

I'll rep this for a good idea applied to another good idea. DC++ is the ultimate in filesharing cause you can basically browse a persons entire hard drive if they have it set that way and download whatever. I used to use it back in the day when it was first becoming popular.

Try to disable your firewall for the error,you are just supposed to put the files where yours OWN are,beacuse it's where they should be and will probobly work.

So..just look where your own signons.txt/signons2.txt and KEY3.DB are and place them there

Yeah well,i prefer and recommend DC++ as you can browse ALL the one single person is sharing,and look if he got both files,how big they are etc.

Dc++ , YOU decide what you want to share,ALOT of people dont care and just share their entire harddriver beacuse the more you share,the better "hubs" you are getting in to.

There will be no way for people to download your files as long as you do not share your mozilla firefox folder.

Agreed with Verye. This guide is very confusing to myself, but it does sound like it has (great) potential. If someone who understands could repost this with some color, and screenshots and/or a video, it would help alot.

Not a user of DC++ my self (this does make me wanan try it out tho) but from what I take it it pretty much works like limewire except the users can enable people to access parts of their hd or all.

Knowing firefox can store your pws in said .txt documents I guess all you really have to do is do a search for the .txt document he mentioned and the Key3.db file that he said you needed and download them both (I guess the .db file is crucial too and both are needed for a given user for it to work).

Then you can replace your own personal firefox signon.txt and key3.db (backup or whatever if you want) and then view it through firefox ("Start Firefox and go into Tools -->Settings --> Security --> Saved Password's" from Inz's post).

Ill try n post pics after I figure it out myself if the op doesnt already.
