Well this scam is pretty common and repost no sorry do not have a link but trust me it is, you have explained it better though and is more organized the only problem with this is that you can only do it once and if one day your account really does become compromise uh oh you're not getting anything back. I would suggest having a friend sign on because proxies do not work well with WoW unless you're spending money on one. you literally must wait 2-3 days to log back in after your friend deletes the items and such. overall rating 5/10 due to the fact that you can only do it once.

Yeah, and it doesn't matter where you spend money (guy before Sineater)
a) Do a lot of trades, sell your bank stuff etc.
B) Buy a lot of auctions you'll get the gold back you spent.
