[Trade] Quick Scam Without In-Game Inspect

Been lurking these forums for a while but joined today to try to contribute with something.

NOTE - This scam is NOT foolproof and has a serious dose of luck involved in it as you're not actually showing off anything in-game.

This scam is quick so if you fail, it's no biggie.

WHAT YOU NEED : Common sense, ability to smalltalk and seem trustworthy and an account/trial account

STEP 1; Lurk some account trading site. As I'm swedish I use blocket.se for my scamming needs. The trading site doesn't really matter, what matters is that the person you're trying to scam seems stupid enough. Also, make sure that the person hasn't got a CD-key. He could be lying, but never scam someone with a CD-key, at least not with this scam.

When you've found a person that seems stupid enough ( usually somebody with a lot of typos and smilies and whatnot ) add him on your ALTERNATIVE MSN/AIM/whatever account and wait for him to log in. I usually add about 10 people, as at least one is bound to be online at the time.

STEP 1½; If a 'victim' is online, put your status to AFK as this is where you begin searching Armory for a fake character. When you've found the character the victim is looking for, switch your status to online and begin to talk to him.

A typical conversation might look like this;

Me: Heya, are you the guy who wanted to trade X?
Victim: yeah, what u got?
Me: Got an epic X ( the class that the victim is looking for )
Victim: k got armory?
( This is where you post the fake armory link )
Me: Yeah, -link-

(While the victim is looking at the fake armory character, begin to smalltalk and build up a fake bullshit story about the character. Could be about how much gold it's got or how bored you are with it, etc, you get the point.)

Victim: k looks good.. can i see u ingame?

(Make up another bullshit story about why you can't. Maybe that the account time has expired or that you don't want to because it's too risky. Make it sounds believable. I usually go with the first one.)

Victim: hmm, soz not interested if u aint got any time left soz

(That is generally what they'll say. I usually tell them that my bro has a spare pre-paid card laying about as he's not playing anymore and that the victim can have it as soon as the trade is complete. This is pretty much where it fails most of the times, but some play along and then you're good to go. If you've actually got a prepaid card box laying about, tell them that you can take a photo of it and send it to him or whatever, just to make it more believable.)

Victim: kk
Me: Lemme see your armory m8
Victim: -link-
Me: Looking good... so you still interested?
Victim: ye

(This is where I usually start to smalltalk to build up his trust. Throw in a bunch of smilies and seem like an overall nice guy. )

[Insert five or ten minutes of smalltalk here before you go on]

Me: So lets do this
Victim: aight
Me: Okay, we'll do this my way okay... we log onto our accounts and change the emails and take a SS of it so we can see that they have been changed... what's your email?
Victim: -email-

At this stage, you can either go AFK for a minute and make a crap hotmail account with the first letter being the first letter of the victim's email, or you could use Hasselhoff's technique - javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true';document.designMode='on';void 0 - which you put in your address bar and will let you modify the page. ( Massive credit to Hasselhoff for this of course. )

Me: Okay, done. -post SS-
Victim: k, and your email?
Me: -your fake email- ( Be sure not to use your real one, for safety reasons. )
Victim: k done -posts SS-
Me: Great, now we trade SQ/A
Victim: k

( Go for something like Cat's Name or whatever, and it being fake is a given )

Me: Tr00frostbittenblakkmetullz (type whatever)
Victim: k mine is X

( This is pretty much where you ask for the account name. Don't go first as if he tries it out and finds out it's fake, you're f**ked. When you get the account name, it's important to be quick when you're changing the password. When it's changed you simply log out and enjoy your new account. )

THE END.

Also, if it's a character you really want, make sure to ask for his lastname etc so you can transfer the character to a new account. IF you would transfer the character to a new account, make sure to perma ban the original. I'm sure there are a couple of guides on here that explains how to do that.

Yeah, hence why you shouldn't scam someone with a CD-key

EDIT : Didn't know it was a repost, but it's the only scam I've used. Just trying to contribute here m8

well ill +rep you cuz your trying, but let me inform you on a few things...you dont need CD key to recall, all you need is the account name, sq/a...and also, this is probably one of the most posted account scams on here, you should look before posting to make sure its not a repost, but whatever, good luck scamming :P
