this is easy dumd down for instance a lowbie wow play like me went and grinded 60 linin cloth of my newbie zone cheaked the acution house and they sell for bout 20s i went and stuk my up for 1g each (there were 4 staks to start with) and posted NEED LININ CLOTH 2G A STACK well peeps brought out tons of the stuff i got a million tells saying ill giv u 100 linin and i macrod srry i just got a awsome wisper from a dude giving me it for 20s ! and let them buy out all my linin

This has been done since the game came out. Alot of people are aware of this and will call your bluff. lol Just a few days ago a kid tried it. We wanted to buy Axe of Legion for 150g. Lots in trade chat said there was one in the AH for 120g b/o. A few mins later, the person asked why the axe was still in the AH and why he didnt snatch it up for plenty of gold cheaper than he was asking?

On my server theres a bunch of asshats, but this scam can be done, but you have to get it right. Just be aware of buff calling people!

ok so wouldnt the person buying the bulk of whatever ur selling see that you are the one who put it in the AH??? if im wrong then just tell me (im new to scamming)
i think a good idea would be to get an alt. character on the same sever and use it to put in AH then get on main and announce the trade. after going DND or AFK get on alt character and send the money to your main

It's a very very smart idea, kudos to you, if you came up with it originally. I'm sure people have done it before but this is the first time I saw it publicized. Edit : Thall, you have to put the item on the AH using an alt.

All of these auction house scams are based on a couple assumptions that could lead to downfall; you're assuming that they'd buy from the AH; it'd take a while to find a decent item worth value that someone isn't already trying to sell, and buying out to make a monopoly could just lose you a lot of money. You're also assuming that they don't have some of their own, in which case, they may not need yours.

Thanks man !!! you gave me an idea. I founded feet of the lynx in duskwood iwth m alt. and I was trying to et them sold. but noone wante to buy them 70g. so I logged my shaman and puted it on AH 150g. logged my bank and writdths in /trade : WTB FEET OF THE LYNX 200G !! ( it realy selling the item fast ) had it on AH 2min and a guy buyed it and whispred me. then I said Im just gonna logg main and send money ( instead of logg main I logged my alt. and checked if he bought my feets on ah ) he did then I never returned thanks +rep for yah !

This is a bit of a twist of one already posted... The one posted before was a bit more simple..

Just buy a epic item off AH for a reasonable price (100g example) then repost it for like 150g, and then spam in trade chat that your willing to buy 'said item' for 200g. Eventually someone will snatch it from you on AH, and then your 50g richer and ignore/log.
