Something that warns you about who is capping would be really handy.

There's nothing in action logs that triggers that event (like begins capping the flag). So there is no way to do this without a possible read of memory

Back in Cata, I worked on some software that would make a ding/bell noise (or w/e you set it to) if someone began capping the flag. The problem with that in rbgs is it's hard to tell *who* is doing it, and when start -> finish on that single player.
Another option would be to look into reading their cast time or something. I'll check into that.

Pretty decent idea, would definitely take some work to make this kind of addon though.
Having some sort of add-on or the like that makes a sound when a nearby flag is being capped would be absolutely ridiculous for quite a few node spinning classes this patch.
Namely arms warriors considering they can "spin" with heroic leap. (Off CD? Move off flag until the notification.)
It's be extremely game changing.
The only way to do this is by checking 2 things. A) The distance of a player to a flag B) the animation they are currently using ( its the same as crafting). There is a thread on it somewhere in the memory editing section. As far as i know this is the only reliable way to check.
