That's what a few posters back put, but I haven't seen anything about this from blizz on like a blue post or anyone talking about it. People say it's just alt-f4 there are other way to close the game. More info needed.

Alt f4 is confirmed to cause lose of points on US realms... EU realms work. Although there is rumors of a different method in US that works, I can't confirm any.

this was before the alt f4 hotfix but one time when i was queued i just left party and when the queue popped for the group that i left from, I didn't lose any points from it.
This could have also been fixed.

If you left the party, the que would have never popped for the group. It would have put the group into a waiting state until 10 people were logged in and in the party.
