Would have 2xrepped but for the absence of the changes that were made in 3.1 Eg Wintergrasp being daily, Furious gear, Savage badge only, Hateful for honor, Deadly where Hateful is in this guide

The best way to gain PvP items is Piroxs PvP bot or PvPAdvanced ( I use this )! Iv got 80,000 honor today ( It's WSG holiday )

This guide is still helpful. If you're new to pvp, the best way to get some gear is to just do VoA, both 10 and 25, religiously every week. There's a good chance that at month's end you'll have at least 2 pieces of PvP gear that's not too outdated. A start is a start. And remember, if you're into running heroics: those stone keepers shards rack up without you even noticing it (at least they seem to do for me), so they a great source of either honor or pvp offset gear and trinks.
