    2v2

my friend has a 2v2 team and it was rolling around 1360 ish i bumped it helped him bump it up to 1400, hes a marks hunter and his old partner was a survival one, i have all PvE gear to kara at MAX and full spell fire set, arcane, fire so pom pyro.

what i wanna know is there any good strategies with our team we can use?

so far we take try to take out healers first all healing classes, so i fireball he dps and i pom pyro and its good, but when we fight a druid and rogue team we get owned i get jumped by bolth and even when i get druid down to like 5% he pops right back up to full, any advice on any tatics.

also please dont say FFS stOp QQing n0ob because i really need some good advice.

For starters, you should definitely invest in farming the Guardian/Vindicator set (Neck, Bracers, Belt, Gloves, Rings) and full S2.

You and your friend's specs don't really go together very well. If you're going to remain POM Pyro, your friend should respec BM. That way, he has way more DPS. Or you can just respec Frost.

To be honest, Mage/Hunter is terrible and you'll never get higher then the 1700 brackets. But, if you have good communication and coordinate well with each other, you really shouldn't have a problem with timing your bursts. Use vent and be verbal.

    Some helpful PvP addons are...

Proximo ( A square box that will display your enemys in the arena after they have been targeted once. You can add Cast bars aswell as CC timers)

    Download Link: http://files.wowace.com/Proximo/Proximo-r79075.zip

Spell Alerter (A big text will appear in the top of your screen when an enemy begins casting a spell, Or gaining a buff)

Download Link: WoWInterface Downloads : Combat Mods : SpellAlerter

Natur Enemy Cast Bar ( Movable bars that will show the duratation of buffs, debuffs, and your CC on the player's current target)

Download Link: Download Natur EnemyCastBar NaturCombat | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com

Another thing you can do is have your friend, if he decides to stay Marks get a scatter trap on someone. Which means he basically scattershots them, then lays a frost trap beneath them. You can do this to a healer while you blow someone up. And, so long as it's not a druid you can sheep them if they trinket etc. Also, get a focus macro for improved counterspell and polymorph.

Id also check out arenajunkies.com they have some excellent information on the mage class.
    (And others, of course.)

    Druid team:

Keep attacking the druid, if you are any good the druid will go OOM and then you kill the rogue.
after that you kill the druid.

Druid rogue is a very strong team but I advise to do this as I play a druid myself and I hate going OOM xD

Mea, the druid will most likely not go oom with innervate and depending on the class, he can CC your attacker and run off to drink... I just got my S4 wep on my resto druid this week and I am full mana most of the fight unless their DPS is very good at CCing. So what I usually do is I play with a rogue, when their DPS comes out, rogue jumps on him, when druid pops, I:

Pounce > Cyclone > Cyclone > Blind > Feral charge after blind is done > Bash > Maim > Cyclone > Cyclone.
Which gives my rogue more then 30 sec to kill his target.

    Timers:

    Punce: 6 sec
Cyclone: 5 sec (throw on 2 HoTs)
    Cyclone: 3 sec
    Blind: 3 sec
    Feral Charge: 5 sec
Bash: 5 sec (Throw on 1 HoT)
Maim: 6 sec (Throw on 2 HoTs)
Cyclone: 5 sec (Throw on 2 HoTs)
    Cyclone: 3 sec

    Total = 44 seconds

But the target will most likely trinket from one of the CCs.

@ Igzz, wow man.... I didn't really think about this but you just helped my rating with like 1000 points hehe... I always forget to start with pounce and I never use Bash or Maim

Thanks . Always Maim after the blind since it puts a 21 sec DoT on the target.

When playing druid/dps vs healer/dps: One of the more advanced tricks is to cyclone the DPS target when the healer's cyclone DRs are up. I usually use a combo like this for a 100-0% burn in a 2v2 match. This works amazing vs all healers that are not druids.

Pounce -> Claw -> Maim -> Cyclone -> Hots on partner -> Cyclone -> Cyclone Burn Target 3x (More hots) -> Feral Charge Healer -> Bash -> Cyclone -> Hots -> Cyclone -> Cyclone -> Warstomp -> Feral Charge -> NS Cyclone Burn Target if needed.

    Cyclone is OP

    Yep, another tip.

If you are playing against a pala and he bubbles, cyclone the DPS, then the DPS will get 0 heals . Once bubble is over, cyclone the pala and finish off the DPS.

Mage/Hunter isn't a bad combo at all. I use this set up myself when I PVP (Which is rarely now), and we've gotten up to 1900. BM Hunter/Frost Mage. Also tried it with the hunter as MM which also works pretty fine too as long as the hunter knows how to play.

Mage/Hunter relies heavily on snares and the reduction of damage. Fire mage will not do as well as frost. Also remember that the hunters' ice trap (the cc one) WILL work with shatter. So a water elemental mage can put up 3x Frostbolt Icelance combos if you can catch one in a trap.

    Trap -> Frostbolt -> Icelance -> Nova -> Icelance -> Pet Nova -> Icelance.
