    Can someone explain Arena win-trading?

This is what I understand about Win-trading:

    1. There are two teams. Each team wants to get points. Team A and Team B.

    Team A consists of 5 mains + 5 alts
    Team B consists of 5 mains + 5 alts

    2. Everyone use the addon (DBM) that tells you what arena you are getting into when the queue pops up
    3. Both teams log on late at night
    4. Team A, uses their mains
    5. Team B, uses their alts
    6. Both teams queue at the same time
    7. If they both get the same arena, then they both join, otherwise they requeue.
    8. Team A (mains) beats Team B (alts) for X number of games

    9. Now the teams switch. Team A logs on alts, Team B logs on mains
    10. Same procedure, Team B beats Team A X number of games.

Anyways what happens is that one team beats the alts of the other team in order to boost their team rating. Then the teams switch and the same thing happens again. Alts are used to loose with because then personal ratings of the mains is not affected.

Anyways this is what I've always understood about win-trading. However one thing that confuses me:

    Team A defeats Team B 10 times.
    Team B defeats Team A 10 times.

After those 20 games, wouldn't the team ratings for both teams be RIGHT back where they started? If both teams start at 1500, arean't they going to end at 1500?

yes thats win trading to give 10 players points for the week with no risk
the method for boosting a team high is like this:

assume team A is at same rating as team B(lets say 2k)
team B loses all their games to team A until they get tired of losing 1 point at a time.
team B plays back up to 2k
team A feeds off team B again
    make a new team C
play team B and team C to 2k, wintrade team B with team C losing
then wintrade team A with team B losing and you just hit gladiator.

I know they do this a lot in BG9, you can make a lot of money selling points.

Edit: But this was good info to have, just in case I ever get good enough to do this.

    It can either be:

1] On purposely coming up against another arena team which you have planned to be against, who wont bother trying to win so you gain the rating easier, eventually getting it very high.

2] Purchasing a high-rated arena team to be able to purchase "required-rating" gear, and to gain a high amount of points each week.

There are several ways to do win trading. Your way is probably one of the more complex ways. Typically only one person from the feeder team will enter ( which is an alt ) that way his personal rating goes down, but the rest of the teams stays the same.
