I haven't had a high level JC myself, but there is money to be made at high levels from both cutting but mainly from "prospecting. That said of all the professions I've ever had I made by far the most money with engineering, enchanting coming in second.

If it was me I'd probably drop JC for engineering if I was you, simply because the mote extractor will make you millions with 0 effort really. The epic goggles are amazing for starting out at 70 and even through T4 content as well (I loved them on my pally as it made for an easy start to off-sets when i didn't want to tank).

    Hope that helps.

IMO JC isn't worth it. I've played characters with a skill of 375 in every profession and looking back I wouldn't have spent the gold to powerlevel engineering. Sure, you can make tons of money with it but the only thing it is really good for as far as character building goes are the JC only epic gems you can cut, which aren't much better than normal epic gems.

Engineering on the other hand is amazing. Ton's of useful items and the ability to make money hand over fist. Whether you PvP or PvE engineering has something useful for you. The goggles, as stated above, are incredible. I actually just replaced mine with the plate helm from council, and even that isn't a very big upgrade.

I would preferably choose Enchanting/Engineering over JC-ing any day!

I would have to agree with everyone else, Eng. is probally better. My main has JC and it kind of is a waste of money.

Yeah. I've leveled a few different crafting skills to cap, and at least on the servers I played on, you're better off dumping all your gold into a pit and burying it than leveling JC.
