I found this on wowwiki and thought it was rather intersting...

Rank 15-City Protector

Achieved by being the person who has the No1 standing in pvp for that week, you kept it for a week then it was passed on to the next player the next week, though you could keep it if you were No1 the week after.

Being city protector you got to teleport using a spell to your races major city.

Failed to mention that it was never implemented, but no they haven't brought the ranks back.

Since it's on their plans to implement the good old pvp system with ranks into the game again! (without decay? one might hope).

The old ranks were so much fun the anticipation to find out if you got a new one on the patch day but it is kinda cool how some people have them and you cant get them anymore but I still wish they would put them back in the new pvp system after BC just ruined it all everything is so OP.

For 'City Protector' - not a single person will ever read this thread and think 'I can protect cities with those spells' - but more of a 'lol i save moneys an no has to ask mage'.

I was just saying what i found, this was before BC so shatt wasn't in game, then it would have been useful.
