    AFK on EU = BAN

Actions taken against AFKers on european realms too
Starting immediately, we will be issuing warnings and penalties, including suspensions, for non-participation in Battleground games. We are taking action against a large number of accounts immediately, and will continue to monitor these situations and regularly take action against violators. If you encounter a player in a Battleground who is intentionally not participating in the battle for an extended period of time, please help us track the situation and report the player as AFK.

Heh, it's only a matter of time before it gets implemented in the US realms.

Sucks that it's taken this long, but too many AFK'ers in a BG basically means the other team is gonna win.

And I like my marks. Seriously.

Its not news, Blizzard has always punished botters in Battlegrounds, and they always have been against botting of any kind.

Ye but suspend/warning/ban for afk at bg can be :

Using 3rd party software to avoid AFK

    or

    Reading book and pressing space

So actually they can only suspend/warn you for avoiding AFK tab @ BGs or they will have to proove that you have been using 3rd party.

So perm ban for reading book and pressing one button every 5 minutes is strange for me.

Sry for my bad english, i hope you can understand what i wanted to say

This policy was actually updated for US realms first:

WoW Forums -> Battleground Non-participation Account Action

Also, it clearly states that you must actively participate in AV or you could risk removal of honor, removal of PvP gear, and suspension. This doesn't mean botting: GMs have stated that if all you do is kill critters through the entire match, or do not engage in PvP during the match, this is violating the policy.

If you have more questions, please contact me. Info is in my signature.

They only even look at your account if you're getting reported.

So just be smart about it and don't do it in the stinkin cave, go to your closest mine and just hang out a bit.

Edit: If nothing else go take over the cave, and when you get asked about what you're doing just say something as to "I swear i just saw an alliance/a horde, waiting to see if he's going to try and take the mine."

    Tadah, problem solved.
