This is a thread, that the "Fatcats" upstairs DONT want you to know about.

There are many lies about Mage botting, created by these "Fatcats" upstairs:

-Mages SUCK at botting
-I only get reports, not levels when i use a Mage
-A Mage is as useless as a cock flavoured lolly pop

These however, are lies. Most of the hardcore botters that level to sell characters use either Mages or Warlocks, and shame the Mage to decrease the people botting Mages (for cash). However there is a steady and hard "need" for warlocks on the market and hence the shroud of lies is not neccesary.

This guide will tell you everything you need to know, and can do about botting mages and soon you will be saying "wow my mage prawned that 'burloc-mitch'" and not "wtf! why am i not casting!"

Here is a simple and easy fact to start off with:

Noobs set up the bot and expect the mage to go. This is why the "Fatcats" do so well. Mages are not hard to setup, they are just noob proof. Mages are origionally, according to mmoglider, set up to use all specs, and require all spells to do well. This is not true but however is useful when mobs are harder.

Preperation: What YOU need to know!

-This is addapted for the everyday noob
-Mages can summon water, and do not need to carry water with them.
-Mages have 3 schools of magic, specialisation in frost is usually best to level but at 70, many use hybrids, etc.
-Mages are not gear reliant like many other classes
-Equally, Mages do not require gear but require TIME
-Time can be directly proportional to the gear you are using, but for 24 hour botting, gear means poop all

Now the noobs are clear on it, lets begin.

Setup: Why isn't my mage casting?

This question is used alot during the low levels. Primarily your Mage uses 1-4 buttons. These being, according to the origional mmoglider settings are:
1. Frostbolt
2. Evocation
3. Fireball
4. Fireblast

During the levels of 1-10 not many of these skills are known. This is due to the "not learnt" principle. The glider assumes you know these spells and tried to cast them, hence casting nothing, waiting, and attempting to cast nothing again.

To de-lapse this and fill the no cast place, have 1-4 as either fireball or frostbolt. (i use frostbolt because i love frosticles). Fireball CAN be used and is optional for runners but i prefer frost bolt.

As you level and get more spells, you can fill in the gaps, etc and ensure your always casting but this 1-4 section will ensure you keep casting and spamming your spell.

Mage Options: Select "Mage, Options" from the mmoglider screen and set everything to unticked. As you get the spell, insert it in to the desired slot and tick the box. This just ensures you arnt trying to frost nova when you dont have the spell, and polymorph an add.

Higher Levels: Is my currentl combination good?

If your killing a mob, without dying, by my watch your doing well and your combination works fine.
TRY new things, i spent 4 hours just trying different button rotations and edting my keys, just to find the ideal g/h set. *Unfortunatley I cant reveal this*.

Mage Specific Settings: What they really mean.

Pull Distance: Changing this alters where you pull it at, and when learnt, affects the time and ratio of your use of FrostNova. eg. 20 yards means cast, cast, FN, cast, cast, cast, FN? cast. and with 30 yards: cast, cast, cast, he reaches you, FN, cast cast. Wand can equal cast, but cast=attack
Eitherway: Mob dies.

Cooldowns: Easily determined, spec lowers some, just hover mouse to determind and enter in the spot.

Ice Barrier: Alters exp/hour but saves lives. I dont leave home without it. Options also can be changed so it is on all the time, when you get meleed (for those mana whores) or when your life goes past a certain point.

Use (!!!!!!): Allows these if you know what they do and when you can learn these. Can be your enemies bane, or your achillies heel.

::Wrap Up::

1-3 or 1-4 for spam spells @ low lvl
Allow spells as you increase level
Know what they do first
If you can 1v1 a mob and not die, you can farm for x long
