Gms Allowed To Show Themselfs Today

Not that my word means much since im a newbie, but i can confirm this. GM came to org on Proudmoore US server wearing some level 60 glacial gear, lol. He put down some fireworks and let them off. I assume they mustve been given permission to as a christmas gift or something

I knew they could show themselves, they usually don't though, because mostly GM's are stuck-up underpayed people who doesn't like to show others abit of fun.

First of all GM's dont get payed. They do it voluntarily to pay back blizzard. The second reason that this isnt retail is that GM's dont have actual char's on the GM account all they do is open up a window that has tickets taht pop up along the side of it and they just chat through that. Gm's also have to answer 10 tickets a week. The last reason is that GM's are not allowed to GM on there own server so they have no char's what so ever on the server they are GM'ing on

How do i know this?
Easy a guildie of mine on retail is a GM and has specified all this information to me in the past. Dont believe me ask him yourself

This is plain ****ing bullshit.

You do get paid for being a GM, as they hire you. You do get a contract etc. Are you stupid enough to think that people move to Paris to voluntar?! If you read a little bit over at World of Warcraft Europe -> Careers at Blizzard , you'll probably understand that they get paid.

And yes, GMs can chat via a console, but they can also log on to a character to help players with issues that might be hard to help with from a console.

I asked a GM to show up on my birthday ^^ we were at the end of the Midnight fight, and I lost an item cause i did alt+z to take screenies of him xD
anyway this guy was like this: *poof shows up* Hi, happy b-day *stays long enough to make me loose the loot* bye! *poof is gone* no transformations or anything

GMs are allowed to show themselfs if needed
GMs are payed
GMs canNOT give you gear, transformation, money etc


Most pictures taken on this thread were private servers, those linked to forums were links of gms that were fired

they show themselves as needed, e.g. to calm a crowd (happened to me when some rp server was invaded) or something
