GMs aren't allowed to show themselves in-game. They use an out-of-game program to talk to people in-game, hence why it says "Player not Found" when you shift click them. Also, why would auctioneer know the price of the Game master's robe? Would blizzard really have a "GM Vendor"? I'm not saying its true, but there are a lot of hack bots that are out there, and this just may be one of them...

GM's may indeed show themselves, my raid was once wiped by a GM

GM's are yes idd allowed to show themselves, my karazhan raid a few months ago had a bug which made us unable to attack Prince, so we contacted a GM and killed Netherspite meanwhile, suddenly the GM contacted us and told os to move to the room there in front of price boss encounter room.. He told us that he was going to spawn two creatures which would simply kill prince, and then he would revive him afterwards, but we had to kill thise 2 creatures, but when he summoned them they kinda "called" the whole instance for aid, so we had like 12 2k damaging mobs on us ;s Kinda wiped hehe - pictures of it bellow
