Tanaris General Chat in StormWind?

I think I am spelling Tanaris wrong, but it is where the NE start. Anyways, I heard this thing where if you are in tanaris you can talking StormWind General Chat. Does anyone know about that?

I was playing and this guy goes "Man i can't believe they don't even know about that yet" and then the guy before goes "Hey all -from Tanaris" and I shift clicked the guy and it said he was in Tanaris.

There's 2 possible things he did:

Hack
Model Change Tanaris(or whatever your talking about) to Stormwind and used it's chat channel, i've been able to talk in hinterlands chat when i changed durotar to hinterlands and people could see it.

Or perhaps he said "hey" right as he was landing in Tanaris...

Except for the part where you can't fly to tanaris from eastern kingdoms, let alone stormwind.

I just posted this...you CAN NOT fly from stormwind to tanaris, because stormwind is on eastern kingdoms, and tanaris is in kalimdor, 2 seperate continents.
