DirectX 9.0c error

When I try to start up WoW without using OpenGL ( the official FAQ database told me to run WoW in OpenGL mode.) I get a message basically saying "Unable to start 3D acceleration, please check your DX9.0c and video drivers."

Well, my video card drivers are up to date, but even when I reinstall DX9.0c, I STILL GET THE MESSAGE.

I want to play normal WoW again, OpenGL sucks on this card.

Can anyone help?
