Can you use Boon o.t. Builder on a char that has removed Engineering after applying?

Having herb gathering and Builder boon would be top nodge - question is, does the shoulder enchant remain if you switch professions, after having applied it?

you dont need engineer prof at all to have it.
if you have a friend that can put boon of thebuilder on the crafted boe shoulders and trade it to you or you can do it yourself and send them to alts.
works for everyone.
multiboxing 10 and i got 2 engineers and 10 chars with the builder.
