It sounds awfully like that m8, and comment above mine is rehash of my words.
No offense.

You're not alone in your opinion based on my own experience as a CM booster. There are always players that argue that the price is "too high" and it's not "worth it". At the end of the day, most boosters/coaches have either a price based on market value (in case of competition on server) and if paid with in-game gold it's also server dependant, or they have no competition and can pretty much set a price standard themselves.
If our main server would get to crowded with CM boosters, prices obviously went down. We'd roll a different server with none or less boosters, to keep the prices up. Everyone that's selling a service will always try to get the maximum profit out of it. Halfway trough MoP i was earning around 120-150k every 2 hours when i was boosting. Selling this gold would result in around 40-60 Dollar every 2 hours, which is tripple the amount I earned with my actual job. But for a student that really just did it out of boredom with a bunch of friends, it was a pretty big task planning around our own AND our clients schedules, advertising, improving gear, finding new/better strats etc. I have no idea what a coach would do, but if it's anything similar you are not just paying for that 1 hour of coaching you actually get.
On top of that, as long as there are people willing to pay a certain price, whatever you actually find a reasonable amount has little to no influence on that price.
