Suggestion to release forum-section with explanation about exploits via PM only
Title: A suggestion was made to open up a forum sub-section in which exploits are shared to the public, but not explained.
"Hey guys, came across so and so in order to get this and that.
The following steps are shared via PM. Feel free to contact me."
and this only to trusted invididuals.
The benefits? Obviously that there are no Blizzard-readers, because we all know who is long around in this forum and who just joined. Very, very easy. This is due to the elite-section in here is public as the normal-exploit section.
If you Truly care about sharing what amazes you, then you Have to take careful actions, if you do not want to restrict yourself and say to yourself "No, can't share the fun, because otherwise I can't enjoy it anymore and see it fixed within the next few hours."
Via PMs? Very easy. Let's establish it.
I clean my inbox often so there is no traffic-jam. If for some reason some individuals here don't like the idea and I could not imagine a solid reason why that would be the case, the next things I come across will be posted in the regular exploit section but no full release, this will then be shared via PM to those who are interested and those who I see here on a regular basis.
Like it? Please say so. Don't like it? Please say so too and give constructive feedback what would You do better.
All the best!

Privatization of something like exploits is not worth it. Even if you somehow weeded out all the people, who were not hired or had connections to Blizzard and wouldn't tell anyone, then it'd still be flawed. All it takes is one person to share it with someone, who shares it with another and another and another and another... That's how exploits get around.

but by using crunk's suggested pm's the life-span of these exploits will drastically increase. An exploit that would normally get fixed within days could last week(s) instead.
Of course it's still flawed, sharing things on the internet will always be, but at least it would be A LOT less flawed then to just throw it out on the public for everyone to read.

If you want to share something via PM on the site, just throw them a PM, easy as that. Why even post something if you're just going to send it to your select few anyways lmao.
I don't have a skype account. Contact me through pms or through discord.

Thank you for making a discussion about this and not posting in the suggestion forum.
This goes against what OwnedCore is at its core. A place to freely share and learn about exploits / hacks and the likes with as little hassle as possible. If you don't want an exploit to be fixed or made public, don't talk about it.
If you want to micro-manage who gets what information, you can make discord groups, skype groups etc. Just know that you are not allowed to advertise them here without an agreement with the staff, as it is considered " a competing community with access to our content ". Even if you do end up doing that. Information is volatile and you can't control who can and can't keep their mouths shut.
Edit: The above rule (Along with the "Post the full detailed guide here or not at all" rule ) is primarily meant to keep gold selling websites from baiting people to PM them or visit their site for the rest of the exploit / guide. It happens very often and we try to stay on top of it. If you can come up with a solution where you could have your section and manage that information how you would want it, and make it a permanent commitment and not just something for a few months, then by all means. We're all ears. Just make sure it doesn't create more load on the staff and that you're able to manage all of it yourself.
We have many "hidden" private sections that are invite-only. The thing is, unless you request everyone to have 2-factor authentication (Which you do not even have yourself), one day somebody is going to get "hacked" and they will have access to all the information you shared with them.
It's not always about who you trust and who you don't. Information is volatile in more than 1 way.

I've only got 2 observations for you friend..
First & foremost.. with a rank like yours it shouldn't have been hard to find http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/news...t/suggestions/
Second.. I feel pretty confident your heart is in the right place about keeping exploits working longer.. but you've been around longer than me by quite a ways.. & in that time you haven't seen the many.. many discussions relating to things like "OMG MOVE TO ELITE" generally by people who wouldn't have the access themselves.. just don't want anyone else to have it either.. partially to feel in on something I suspect..
I guess I've got a third thing to consider too.. did'ja ever play a game called Telephone as a kid ? When things are shared privately one to one they often get progressively muddier & eventually reach a point they aren't even accurate at all any longer.. the worst part about it is I'd see a future of people clamoring over proper credits for ideas too without any threads of source just linking screenshots of PMs & cussing one another out.. getting even madder still that someone ruined the whole private system by deciding.. I bet I can get some rep on a site if I post it.. just this one thing.. no one will mind.. or they might not even know.. & if they do.. big vup wanna fight about it..
You could start your threads & label them PM for details buuut that doesn't really mean anything to anyone trying to either credit or smear you for providing good or bad information.. since it's all private & kind of hearsay.. most people won't be interested in wading through PM arguments..

You think Bli$$ard can't grab a few bucks for Elite access, or they have not a few infiltrators in hier since the foundation?
Maybe PM distribution will set back detection if they cannot be arsed to put in effort (at the expense of public posts being detected quicker) but it will also slow down speed at which this is shared with exploiters, which makes the whole process moot.
Then you might as well keep exploits to yourself.

Yeah interesting idea, but like Parog said I don't see it working here. Maybe some other forums that are more stingy about exploits, but I like to think Ownedcore is a rather inclusive friendly place to old and new members
Edit: 666 post hail satan
