You Were Caught in a Banwave :: How to get a character geared up and ready in 1 week

Let's discuss the best way to gear up a fresh level 110

    So far on my list:

    - World Quests
    - World Boss
    - PVP/RBG wins (You get good gear and tons of AP)
    - Crafted gear/BOEs

I'd love to hear your ways of gearing up so we can help people get right back on the horse and save their raid slot.

1: If you got gold or $ buy a personal/master loot heroic EN run. This clearly depends on how far behind and how far ahead your guild is. But if your in the middle of the pack and your guild is raiding heroic EN and early mythic still than this definitely works.

2: Raid finder. YOU NEVER KNOW

3: EN Normal pugs are a joke now. Even if normal is beneath you , YOU NEVER KNOW! Titanmythicwarownedcoreforge with a socket.

4: Karazhan (nightbane and end bosses drop some good stuff)

On a fresh 110 my usual daily workflow goes like so:

Check all gear on world quests to see what are upgrades and do them first.
    Do the world boss
Do at least one segment of either a gathering or crafting profession (1-2 quests worth)
    Do a daily Battleground
    Do a daily Skirmish
    Do a daily dungeon
When 810 iLevel is reached change dungeon to Heroic
When 825 iLevel is reached Do LFRs
Do World Quests that give Order Hall Resources (I aim for 4k+ per day)

Use the Order Hall Resources for coins and Artifact Knowledge.
If I find that my Order Hall Resources are best used for Artifact Knowledge, since leveling the artifact weapon is a higher priority than upgrades for missions. I never waste resources on missions unless there is something special in it.

Order Hall Resource requirements per week:
~1000 for Artifact Knowledge (2 researches per week and if you start a third it will roll into next week)
7,000 Order Hall Resources for 3 Weekly Coins

World Quests usually give 250-450 Resources, so I low-ball it and say 250. Works out to 28 Order Hall Resource quests every week. they reset every 8 hours, so if you do the order hall resource world quests only, you will probably start running out, so make sure you do a couple extra as long as they are nearby to free up that general area for a potential resource quest. If you don't do this, you could end up limiting the number of resource quests available and make it harder to hit your weekly goal.

If you're lucky and have a good friend that is mythic ready geared, he can try to bargain to help a EN normal pug group at the condition of bringing you, no matter your current ilvl. Once you are 835-840, do the same for heroic EN. After that is all a matter of doing as much M+ as you can, Kara/LFR and Gear WQ.

Just don't forget to get as much AP as possible.

Edit: You can also pay Heroic EN carry right away, but that one was pretty obvious !
Did it ever happened to you, when you're smoking a cigarette and you try to get it out from your mouth but your lips are so dry that your fingers go to the fire instead because the cigarette is stuck on your lips?

This is what I did. Got ilvl 850 the same day of hitting 110. Bonus points if your friend is same loot table as you (mine was)

Edit for clarification: I was not banned, just made a new character very recently

I must say given the annoucement from Blizzard that they intend to enable people to buy Artifact Knowledge instantly with order hall resources up to a certain point makes this an even stronger bit of advice. Whilst they haven'' said what the limit to instant buying AK will be it is clear that this would be an important step to have in future instances where you need to start up again.

Max limit is 10, so you can't get more than that.

Ya and don't forget, your world quest gear levels upgrade as your character gets higher iLevel, so if you do the gear ones first, by the time you hit a refresh (8hours) hopefully your iLevel will be higher, and you can get better gear.

Hey getting AK level to 10 instantly is a huge step up at the moment. I'd take it for any alts or new accounts I have to make in future.
