The play is this: you cast unlimited corruption on the target dummies as affliction. Then you switch to demo. Soul leech now provides you with a powerful absorption shield and you get extra healing from it as demo.

The problem is that even if with all damage your healing is only about 2-3% of your health+ absorption bonus. Try it with burning rush (-4% health per second). Even with all dummies dotted your health is still going down. The range is small-you can't go further than sw gates. If you duel someone there it is a nice helpful buff, but it isn't going to eliminate the mobility problems locks have against certain classes. Which is presumably why the guy doesn't actually show much duelling.

If you encounter someone trying to duel people for gold get a confederate to purge the dummies, or just focus his minion down (which just leaves the absorption shield to worry about). Demo is so weak at the moment it should be easy to finish them off.

I was messing about with this at the launch but it does not seem to be a viable play. Possibly you can make it fly if you got yourself a leech set but those items are expensive. Also, I haven't tried it out with the artifact weapon trait that heals you for 100% of corruption 15% of the time-though you'd have to be in affliction spec for that and wouldn't get as much benefit from soul leech.

I'd be interested in information to the contrary, especially from any one who can actually show themselves actually winning duels or doing something cool with it.
