I am a returning playing I leveled both classes to 20.
Which one do you prefer for pvp?
Please reply with serious answers.
Thanks.

I have a 70 mage and a 70 rogue, and i REALLY prefer the rogue.
You have alot more options stratagy wise, as when you want to use your cooldowns, and when you don't, instead of your main stratagy as a mage being "Stay away from X and cast the instant spell Y, and if you have a moment cast scorch".
Go rogue man. Stun lock them bitches in PvP
Mage. Frost/Fire Spec. Freeze them and then send a 200 pound pyroblast at their ass

casual or serious?
personally i would roll a mage for arenas. rogues really aren't that good in arenas and most makeups can't use them without gimping themselves
also actually finding teams or groups as a rogue is a pain.
with that being said rogues are probably the more "fun" class in bgs and world PVP
It all depends on the player, not the class.

I'm a level 70 Mage and am a high end PVPer. I'd like to see one rogue go against a Frost Mage. Heck I've 2 on 1'd those bastards. The only advantage of being a Rogue is being able to take on a Warlock.

Congrats, you can take out a class you're supposed to be able to take out by gimping your damage and gaining the ability to slow down and kite a class that has a terrible ability to get kited easilly.
In the meantime a fire mage/arcane mage with equal gear, or any heavy ranged dps class - possibly despite a non BM hunter, will laugh at you as you fail to do anything to them.
