Banned for 6 months! Appeal? Advice?

So I got dc'd, checked email and noticed I was banned till Jan 2017!

I think this was from using Honorbuddy last month to lvl some alts to 100 for Legion. I was in England at that point and I'm now in Spain. Could I get away with saying I had my account hacked? It's worked in the past, but it's also not worked and I've had to sit through the ban, except I dont want to miss legion on this account... any do's/don'ts to maximize my chances of getting the ban lifted? Should I call them up (from Skype so they can't see area code) and then say I can't even access my email account? Perhaps wait a week so it doesn't seem obvious?

I have seen numerous times people mention in the shoutbox that appealing right away almost never works. Wait a couple of weeks and try.
I think if you got a temp ban for HB you're lucky. This should have been a permanent ban. At least that's how I thought bot bans worked....

I do not think so, recognize people who have received the ban in 2015, and still used honorbaddy in 2012. Ban has not been removed, something useless or write.

Nothing is undetectable. Appealing a temporary suspension causes them to investigate, and if they confirm their findings (which can they since you did it) - there's been many cases of being changed to a permanent ban.

It's best and safest to wait it out.

Yes but in the past, with other accounts (and this one I think) I claimed I was hacked. I could say my email was also compromised.

I'd suggest just waiting it out, imo you should've gotten a perma ban, and appealing would just put you in a bigger risk... I don't even think permament bans can be cleared, even if you claim that your account was stolen/hacked tho, so again just wait it out.

Blizz has basically neutered HB with their detection methods. Unfortunately I wouldn't expect a successful appeal now that they can easily detect HB.

Hate to say it, but you'll probably have to ride this one out.

I used ONLY Soapbox and I got a 6month ban today as well
According to their forum a lot was banned tonight.

Sucks, but no one to blame but ourselves if it was our main accounts.

72 hour ban for PvE use only. Perm ban with no overturning ever for PvP use.

I'd just sit it out, take it as a lesson and be thankful it wasnt perma. You could also open a new account on the same bnet and have access to all your achieves/mounts/looms and just play on that till your other is open.

I've been perm banned before and it sucks, once before the account wide stuff so i lost everything. It just made me always weigh up the risk v reward of botting on my main, like in your case one extra 100 wouldnt have been worth losing my account when you can just level a 100 in 2 days with all the xp pots and such. Now i dont bot on my main at all, nothing is worth the risk of losing so much.

Yeah, i got perma for using vitalics with it. I'm not surprised they hammered me, that routine was insane.

I got 6months suspension for using fishing bot for like 4hours LAST week
are they retarded?? I already had issues with them was doing some scams and sh*t but I've spent over 5000+ hours on that account which got banned in 2013
Now I didnt screw around on my current acc was playing normally, needed achievement "one that didnt get away" so I was like mah off to bed let bot fish for me
and I got 6months suspension when waiting for burning legion???

They are idiotic as f*ck... their goal is to get more people playing and they do bans like this for minor stuff

Also question, someone answer me. I got 100k+ worht of items in my mailbox (expired from AH) that wont be in mail in 180 days.. can I say in ticket
that they put those items in my bags or something? Also just bought 3 months few days ago... jesus christ

So like... if you agree to their terms of service, you know that thing you have to agree to before playing? You are saying, yes I understand and agree to your terms of service, which literally means do not use any 3rd party programs to automate in game actions. So if you're argument is simply that your offense is minor in your PoV, that is irrelevant and frankly full of stupidity.
