As with all botting, never do it on an account you are afraid to lose as it is not a matter of "If" but more of "when" you will be caught. With that being said, this ban was a bit interesting. I had 2 accounts that got hit with a 6 month suspension(using ReBot). One account I let go inactive about 8 days ago after the initial free month. I usually never even reactivate those... it is one of those $5 base game +$10 WoD accounts I used to write scripts on, so 15 bucks for a fresh 90 to work with (though I guess those are going away now), and I just use em for the 30 days and let them expire and never spend on them again. I don't know why, on ones that I have seen suspended, as I have about 20 of these accounts sitting around with maybe 6 or 7 of them with suspensions/bans, the rest never caught but inactive, it seems like every single one of those bans happened right after the account went inactive.
It's kind of like there is some logic written in that if (Player is caught botting and he has less than 1 week left on his account) { do not suspend until 1 week after renew date} - Like they are hoping I drop another 15 bucks for game time and then ban me. Now, this case might be different, since it seems like a wave, but wow, been noticing that.
So anyway, the reason this one is particularly interesting is that while I had 2 of the 5 of my accounts suspended, 2 that were suspended were inactive. The one I hadn't logged in in 7 or 8 days, and then another account that was in "starter edition" mode because I had not paid a subscription fee. I logged onto that account, made a new lvl 1 toon, only because I wanted to check some profile settings in ReBot, was on that account for maybe 10 minutes sitting at the Orc starting zone and never once ran the bot, yet that got sweeped up in this suspension as well, purely for hooking the game, but not actually running... something to think about.
Do you know what did he do to deserve a ban? And/or, what did the GM say? Something along the lines of "I really shouldn't do this but..." or something more like "Since this is your first time..."?
He was botting dungeons with two accounts, his main and the one he RaF-ed, he appealed both bans and they didn't do anything about the RaF account however since his Main account was like Vanilla period with a lot of playtime (not sure if it matters but he straight up payed in Dollars/Gamecards a lot, think it affects it as well); Iirc it was
"Since this is your first time and we usually don't do this" mix type of message.

Crap. My account is not that old by far, although it does have lots of played hours. Still, this probably means confessing is not a viable option for me.

Hi Sklug,
I'm interested in your views on Rebot. I got banned using HB in May, and re-activated an old account that I hadn't used since September 2015 only using Rebot on that account.
I levelled a char on the older account to 100 and used that to boost 2 RAFs through dungeons - never hooking a bot to those two accounts. Those 2 accounts are untouched by the banwave.
My old account had used HB (but during the summer 2015) and had remained inactive until 21st May 2016 when I only used Rebot.
I know its always a risk - but do you think its the Rebot that caught me out, or the old use of HB was logged way back then and they waited for me to reactivate before banning (only been playing on it 2 and a half weeks)!
Its frustrating the Rebot forums being down as now nobody can post their bans there now!!
I finally decided to confess. Let's hope for the best, will keep you updated.
Pray for me bruhs.
Never confess
I appealed twice now and they are just being greedy cocks. Consider me a malicious player for using a CR on alts...yeah fk you Blizzard.
They wont do shit trust me they are being complete dicks about it.
