Do your friends know you bot?

Stupidly I have been banned from botting on my main account. I have a couple of friends on the account and I just told them I was having internet trouble when I was disconnected and suspended last night during a raid.

It doesn't look like my ban will be upheld but I just wondered if anyone in my situation has a good way to hide the botting from a friend?

I have already another account I'm levelling a toon on manually, but how can I disguise or deny I've been banned? I very much doubt telling the truth will go down well and I'm not sure they will buy the fact I no longer play at all on my main in favour of an alt on a different account.

All of mine know, and most of which don't do it themselves. I just made it clear I do it to get lvl 100s or do mindless shit, most of the time I end up doing shit for them xd.

I'm not sure they would be too pleased to know the flasks and food I have always made for them comes from botting! I might just confess and say I used botting for menial things, but that's lying anyway since I often used it to raid too! I find no shame in it, but I think others will.

Before I got my second temp ban for botting, my whole guild knew. I openly told them all, in guild chat. I didn't get caught because they ratted me out, but because I was an idiot and didn't notice it flying into a wall for three hours. Both times. Even though it's been two years, they still nag at me "Can you mass farm this?" and whatnot. They don't seem to understand that I want to keep my 10 year old account lol.

I find it funny how botting in a video game somehow makes you a bad person. Who cares where the flasks and food came from. I tell everyone I meet that I bot, sometimes random people on the street. Hell, I'm botting right now. Most of the time, no one cares and if they do, they're usually jealous. I bot (and create bots) because it's more fun than playing the game, but to each is their own.
