I need to bring awareness to those who have gender issues when it relates to game policies that don't make sense. I posted these screen shots of my issue with Blizzard and their policy regarding legal names. If you agree with what you read upon reading my screen shots, please help me spread the word to Blizzard using create a support ticket option under Battle.net Support, on the support topic=Account Management>Change my information>Change account holder name. This issue is not just for people with gender issues but for those who thinks it's ridiculous or makes no sense or is abusive. I mean no one really uses their legal name unless it's for job applications, school or some government service or agency or something like that, not a gaming industry unless you were getting a job there not for regular customers who like to play the games.

No I didn't read the screenshots because you can't when you attach them as attachments, hence the reason I suggested that you post them as links from Imgur. I basing my comments on years of being on these forums and knowing the methods that people use to manipulate people to their own ends. It's a pretty transparent attempt at getting Blizzard to do something they already likely told you they won't do without documentation. As I said, I know for fact, that if you provide them the said documentation they will change the information. Court documents that show the legal name change should be sufficient, just like any other legal account that would likely require that same documentation.

As for being a bigot, I made no judgement upon your decision to change genders. I made a judgment upon the lies that you are telling about Blizzard procedures. I'm sure that the screenshots have your proof that you didn't provide the requested documents.

Sounds like you bought an account that used to be owned by the finer sex, or at least under a female name, and want to try to make the account yours and Blizzard turned you down.

Now that the pictures have been approved and I see your responses it is perfectly clear that I was right. You didn't bother to put what the responses to the posts leading to your replies, but you even said in your first post that you needed an ID. So you should easily be able to provide those court name change documents with your new ID in place of the old ID. You know the ones you filled out to actually change your name when you changed genders. The ones you would have provided to get a new drivers license with your new name on it. Because surely if you don't have an ID with your old name on it that you have one with your new name on it.

I shouldn't give this a bit of credence by saying this, but if you actually did change your name and don't have the documents anymore they should be easily retrievable from your local Social Security office. In that same tiny, slim chance that you aren't a total moron trying to pan this off as real, you have to realize as well that just because YOU decide to change who you want to be doesn't mean that you get to leave everything you were behind. You are still that other person by that name. You may not go by it anymore, but I'm sorry, legally you will forever be that person and your new name will be an alias. It's just the way the system works.

Blizzard, just like any other business handling financial information, requires your LEGAL name.

When I had the name changed on my WoW accounts from my male to female name, I went through the exact same process I did with my bank, credit card, internet, rent, passport, Gov't ID and so on.

I had my name changed in the court, I sent in my paperwork and there was no fuss.

The real world doesn't work on the "feels > reals" notion that has become some prevalent in our community.

Stop perpetuating that and grow up.
